Fact #3 is incorrect. He was supposed to receive the Duke of Cambridge upon his marriage, but he gave a special request to his mother for the Earl of Wessex….it was in honor of his production company at the time. He was given that title because he will be created the Duke of Edinburgh at the death of his father.

I am from Nottingham, Britain. Being a great fan of the Royal family and with close friend Linda I am in the process of organizing a British Trivia nite and fundraiser. I love this website that I have recently discovered. It has some great information and I love the detail and content.

I guess we all got the answer to why the President of the United States might not have been invited:
Could it have been because he was too occupied getting Osama Bin Laden? Could it have been that the British government knew about it? Just a thought….

to Stephanie Elkwood and bettina charron: yes you may have come and helped us in 1945 but think to the iraq and afghanistan war lots of british soldiers died because of friendly fire from americans because the british were in the front lines while the americans were hiding behind us. thats why i believe they didnt invite obama because of him we got dragged into the war in the middle east where hundereds of our troops died fighting obama’s war.

After the Kate & Williams’s wedding ceremony, Kate was entitled to a royal salute. During the carriage ride back, William saluted a few times when required, but as he saluted, Kate bowed her head.

I was just wondering about the protocol there, perhaps someone can enlighten me, on the before and after.
